Questions

Where do you work?

I'm based in Boise and work throughout the Treasure Valley, including Meridian, Nampa, Eagle, Caldwell, Kuna, Star, Garden City, Middleton and Emmett, as well as Sun Valley and McCall. I also take on projects elsewhere in the Pacific Northwest.

How long have you been installing wallpaper?

I started installing wallpaper around 2003, at about sixteen or seventeen years old, working with my father and several of my brothers. It has been my trade ever since.

How do I ask about a project?

Use the contact form on this site or email wallpaper@andrewskeck.com. Tell me the room, the wallcovering you have chosen or are considering, and when you would like the work done.

Can you help me choose a wallcovering or work out how much to order?

Yes. I can measure the room, plan the layout and advise on materials before you buy. Pattern repeat and waste change how much you need, so it is worth measuring before you order.

Should I buy the wallpaper before you quote?

Not necessarily. Talk to me first. The type of wallcovering affects the preparation, the adhesive and the time the job takes, and I can help you order the right amount.

Do you remove old wallpaper?

Yes. Removal is part of my work, and I take care not to damage the wall beneath. Repairing the wall afterward is covered under wall preparation.

Why does wall preparation matter?

Wallcovering shows every flaw in the wall under it. Repairing and smoothing the surface, then priming and sizing it, helps the wallcovering bond evenly and lets it come down cleanly when you want a change.

Do you install grasscloth?

Yes. Grasscloth is a natural material, so color varies from strip to strip and the panels are visible by nature. I plan the layout and shading carefully before hanging.

Do you work on commercial projects?

Yes. I install commercial wallcoverings as well as residential ones.
